Grep: from 39 to 3,051 Google keywords in ten weeks
How GoBlinkly gave a brand-new AI research agent a real search footprint, 48× more Google impressions, and a climb from last place to #9 in AI answers, in its first ten weeks.
No search footprint, and AI answers went elsewhere
Grep is an AI research agent for high-stakes work: due diligence, KYB and AML checks, compliance monitoring and investment research, with every answer sourced and audit-ready. When we started in mid-August 2026, Google barely knew it existed: 39 keywords, 853 impressions and 67 clicks in four weeks, with no content built for buyers.
In AI answers, Grep ranked last of 18 tracked brands. When buyers asked ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude or Perplexity for due diligence or compliance research tools, the answers named Elicit, AlphaSense, Hebbia and Perplexity. Grep appeared in fewer than 1 in 200 answers.

Published buyer-focused content, fast
135 articles in nine weeks (Aug 27 – Oct 28), about two a day, covering every way Grep's buyers search: KYB and AML (Perpetual KYB Platforms: What Enterprise Buyers Need, Sanctions Screening AI vs Manual Review), deal research (AI Investment Research Software for Private Equity, Stop Reading 10-Ks Manually), and enterprise security (SOC 2 AI Platforms: Which One Survives a Security Review?).
Built head-to-head comparisons
Comparison pages against the names AI assistants already recommend: Grep vs Hebbia, Grep vs AlphaSense, Grep vs Elicit, Grep vs Perplexity, Grep vs Glean and Grep vs Rogo, so Grep shows up by name whenever buyers weigh their options.
Separated Grep from the Linux command
"grep" is one of the most-searched developer terms on the web, so we published Grep (Linux Command) vs Grep: What's the Difference? to help Google and AI engines tell the brand apart.
Tracked AI visibility daily
Ran 50 buyer-intent prompts across 8 topics in ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity, measured Grep against 17 competitors, and used the gaps to choose what to write next.
Built authority with targeted links
20 targeted links from DA 50+ sites, earned in September and October.
Got Grep listed where AI already looks
Landed placements on third-party pages ChatGPT and Claude already cite in Grep's category — three live so far, including Usefini and ComplyJet — and cleaned up Grep's directory footprint (Wikidata, Crunchbase, Built In) left over from the product's former name, so AI engines pull the current profile.
Search visibility, AI visibility, and traffic — all moving.
Search visibility: from invisible to 1,986 page-1 keywords
In the four weeks before we started, Grep ranked for 39 keywords. Ten weeks later it ranks for 3,051, and two-thirds of them sit on Google's first page.
AI visibility: from last place to #9
Grep competes with AlphaSense, Hebbia, Elicit and the AI assistants themselves. When we started tracking, it ranked last of 18 brands. Two months later it ranks #9, ahead of Gemini, and is cited in 1 in 16 AI answers about due diligence and compliance research.
